The Upward Bound Program at New Mexico State University is a federally funded program serving eight-five (85) participants from the Las Cruces Public Schools and Gadsden Independent School District.
Upward Bound Mission
The mission of the NMSU TRIO Upward Bound Program is to assist participants to successfully complete their secondary education while preparing participants for entry into and graduation from a four-year institution of higher education.
Upward Bound Purpose
The NMSU TRiO Upward Bound Program, federally funded by the U.S. Department of Education, prepares high school students for successful entry into, retention in and completion of a four-year college degree. Participants learn skills and motivation necessary for success in post-secondary education.
