The New Mexico State University TRiO Educational Talent Search (ETS) Program provides academic, career, college admissions and financial aid advising to middle school and high school students who have the potential to succeed in college. Participants work with an academic coordinator at their school to prepare for enrollment at the college of their choice. Program services include in-school advising, parent/student workshops, career presentations, fieldtrips, afterschool activities and summer technology camps.
ETS Purpose
The purpose of the TRiO Educational Talent Search Program is to identify qualified youths with potential for education at the postsecondary level and encourage them to complete secondary school and undertake a program of postsecondary education. Educational Talent Search Programs also publicize the availability of student financial assistance for persons who seek to pursue postsecondary education and encourage persons who have not completed programs at the secondary or postsecondary level to reenter these programs.
